Ready to Go!

It’s Friday morning and we are ready to go. Well maybe not. There’s still some packing to do, but for the most part we are ready to go. All the paper work is in order, namely the long sought after passport has arrived, for which we give God thanks. Had it not come, we continue to remember that God is good always. What a tremendous comfort that is as we leave home for a distant land. We know that we are in the arms of an Almighty God and we know that our families are in the arms of an Almighty God.

The eternal God is your refuge,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Deut. 33:27

We ask that God would grant us favour in Colombia in the task of building a medical facility but also in touching the lives of the girls and the people we meet with God’s Word.

We pray that the weather would be good. I’m sure it will be somewhat warmer than -18 Celsius. Speaking of weather, a link for the current weather in Bogota has been added to the column on the left.

If you hadn’t noticed there is a counter at the bottom of the page. I’ve noticed an increase in the visits made to the sight. That’s great! The purpose of this site is that we might share in the mission project. So please feel free to share also your encouragements by posting a comment. You can make a comment by clicking on the comment tab at the bottom of each post.

We hope to make regular posts while in Colombia but there is some uncertainty as to how often that would be. Internet access is available at a café. How often we make it there or how readily available it is are all question marks at this point.

Tomorrow morning, Lord willing, we hope to leave. It looks like it will be a whole day affair stretching well into the late evening. So finally, please pray for traveling mercies and that our day would go smoothly.
